Geographic Order Routing

Last Updated: Oct 26, 2018 07:27PM PDT
Use Geographic Order Routing to route fulfillments through specific warehouses based on the ship-to address.

Note: This feature is available only on certain pricing plans. If you’re unsure whether your plan includes this feature, please contact Support.

Enable the account setting

Logged as an admin, go to Settings > Feature Settings, then enable Advanced Order Routing:

Set routing rules by channel

Set routing rules for each channel via Integrations > Channels > Settings > Geographic Order Routing. You control routing by availability, geography, and priority.

By default, geographic routing rules only apply if the geo-matched warehouse has available stock. To geo-route regardless of availability, be sure to enable the setting:

Route by country, state, US census region, or postal code:

Route orders by country code, selecting one or more countries.

Route orders by state. Separate multiple states by commas (e.g., California, New York).

Note: Sales channels import states differently. Check your orders to see how orders' states appear (e.g., New York vs. NY). If in doubt, add both separated by a comma.

Route orders by US census region:
Northeast Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Pennsylvania.
Midwest Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Wisconsin, and South Dakota.
South Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, and Texas.
West Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Wyoming, and Washington.

Postal Code

Choose your country, then paste a list of postal codes separated by commas (ex: 13104,94117, ZIP+4, etc.). Supports most code formats but must be an exact match.

Stitch will route to the first matching warehouse according to the priority you set:

If the fulfillment doesn’t meet any of the criteria you set, Stitch will assign it to your default fulfillment warehouse.

Important: Orders from Shopify POS will be fulfilled from the POS Fulfillment Warehouse specified.

You ship from three North American warehouses. The Arizona warehouse fulfills all orders shipped to the West region of the United States; the Canada warehouse fulfills all orders shipped to that country; the Kentucky warehouse fulfills all other orders.

You'll set routing rules for Arizona and Canada. All other orders will go through the United States warehouse—your default fulfillment warehouse.
